The purpose of this organization is to create a fundraiser spring semester in which we raise funds to be donated to the Childrens Hospital at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services and programs to promote human welfare and provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. A sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women, the Sorority currently has over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic of Korea. The Sorority was founded in 1913 by 22 students at Howard University. These young women wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence; to provide scholarships; to provide support to the underserved; educate and stimulate participation in the establishment of positive public policy; and to highlight issues and provide solutions for problems in their communities.
It shall be the purpose of Engineers Without Borders (EWB-MU) to promote internationally responsible engineers and promote community service by applying engineering concepts into designs and feasible solutions for needs in a local and international scope.

The mission of Eta Epsilon Epsilon Inc. (HEE) is to enhance the leadership skills of it’s members by providing creative service learning activities, encouraging the engagement of community service, and assisting other organizations whose purposes are compatible. Our primary target audience are collegiate students ages 18-21. Our strategy is to partner with schools, universities, and community-based organizations to help expand our membership throughout Georgia.
It shall be the purpose of the Financial Literacy Club to serve Mercer University by educating interested students of the Mercer Community on the basic financial skills and knowledge needed to take charge of their financial situation as they transition from college into the full-time workplace and beyond. Additionally, the Financial Literacy Club will develop, offer and sponsor a financial literacy day to promote these same principles to a campus-wide audience once a year.
We are a campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity International, an organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. As a campus chapter, we contribute to that goal through fundraising, house construction, education, and advocacy.
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
The purpose of the IEEE Student Branch is the dissemination of knowledge of the theory and practice of all aspects of electrical engineering, electronics, radio, allied branches of engineering or the related arts and sciences, as well as the furtherance of the professional development of students.
The Mercer Chapter (#947) of IIE is a student chapter of the national Institute of Industrial Engineers that strives to involve industrial and systems engineering students in their community and get involved in regional and nationwide conferences.
IIE is the world’s largest professional society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial engineering profession and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. Founded in 1948, IIE is an international, non-profit association that provides leadership for the application, education, training, research, and development of industrial engineering.
The Mercer chapter is primarily for ISE and IDM students at Mercer, although we encourage all majors at the university to participate in some of our hosted events. We have meetings roughly every other week in the ISE suite on the second floor of the Engineering building (EGC). All engineering students are welcome to attend meetings.
The Kappa Alpha Order is a national fraternity, founded in 1865 at Washington and Lee University. With 134 chapters and over 125,000 initiated members, Kappa Alpha continues to be a leader among fraternities. Our motto "Dieu et les Dames" which means "God and the Ladies", represents to us those things which every brother reveres and holds most dear. Within our daily lives all Kappa Alphas strive to live up to the one rule posed to college students by Robert E. Lee, our spiritual founder. He asked simply "that every student must be a gentleman".. Each of us holds this as a daily challenge to live everyday with courtesy and compassion toward all others. The brothers of Kappa Chapter, having been the 10th chapter founded within The Order, pride ourselves in our rich history and tradition here at Mercer University extending all the way back to our founding in 1873. In fact, since 1887 our chapter has maintained the same meeting room on the top floor of the Administration Building, and continue to meet in front of the same moon lit stained-glass window that was installed in that same year. We are committed to building a strong brotherhood and living by the best traditions of our Southern history: "honor and pride and discipline" as William Faulkner once said. Our Order is more than a social organization; to us it represents a way of life.

Mercer's Accounting Standards Board is an organization comprised of both students and professors from the Stetson School of Business & Economics who are majoring in and/or show interest in the field of Accounting. The organization's main purpose will be to keep students updated of changes occurring in the accounting field, job and internship opportunities in the Macon area, and will serve as a network of students and professors to offer academic support and career advice.
Created for Bboys & Bgirls alike, this student organization is for all those interested in the art of breakdance and the culture that surrounds it. We will study it in practice and in observation.
The purpose of the Mercer Chess Club is to teach chess to those who do not know how to play as well as to strengthen the abilities of those who do know how to play. The Chess club is intended to build camaraderie and to teach reasoning and logic skills. The Chess Club will work together as a team with the ultimate goal of competing in tournaments. As the Chess Club grows, a community based component will be implemented by its members. A plan will be set up to contact local elementary schools to see if they would be interested in having some Mercer Chess Club students tutor elementary school students in the technique of the game. This will ensure that the members of the Chess Club will be community oriented along side of teaching and assisting collegiate level students.
Our purpose will be to pursue the ideas of liberty, justice, and freedom for all regardlness of race, religion, or sex. We will pursue these ideas through support of the Democratic Party and its ideas, ideals, and candidates.

The purpose of the Mercer University Pipes and Drums is to introduce students and members of the community to the distinctive music and culture of the Celtic tradition, especially that of the Scottish Highlands, and to strengthen the technical and performance skills of its members
Delta Tau Chapter is a Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon International Music Fraternity. Its Purposes are to recognize scholarship and musicianship and to develop a bond of friendship among its members. Its Aim is to advance the music in the community, in the nation, and in the world through the promotion of musicianship, scholarship, and music education with an emphasis on service through music. The Delta Tau Chapter has been on the Mercer campus since October 2001.
NSBE's mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible minority engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
The Purpose of the Society is threefold:
First, to recognize those who have attained a high standard of efficiency in collegiate activities and to inspire others to strive for conspicuous attainments along similar lines;

The Organization of Black Students is an organization that supports diversity within the campus of Mercer University. However, our main purposes for OBS are:
A. To promote unity through the celebration and education of African-American history on the campus of Mercer University and in the community of Macon.

The Panhellenic Council is composed of representatives from the four sororities on Mercer's campus who are members of the National Panhellenic Conference. Panhellenic's Purpose is to promote unity and cooperation among all Greeks, as well as foster growth and responsibility in the academic, social, emotional, and civic aspect of a college's woman's life by providing various outlets for development in these areas. As an active part of the Mercer and Macon communities, Panhellenic participates in several activities designed to enrich the undergraduate experience.

Its 14,000 members include technical writers and editors, content developers, documentation specialists, technical illustrators, instructional designers, academics, information architects, usability and human factors professionals, visual designers, Web designers and developers, and translators - anyone whose work makes technical information available to those who need it.
